Oh my lord. A true contender for the worst film on Netflix. Alien Warfare is terrible and currently holds the title, in my opinion, of the worst film on Netflix. Peelers is a worthy challenger, a film that somehow managed to make nudity boring. However, five minutes into My Perfect Romance, shitty background music and amateurish editorial split screens aplenty, I am thinking that Alien Warfare may lose its crown.
Chinese-American, Sasha (Ali Wong) and Korean-American, Marcus (Randall Park) have been friends since childhood. Sasha, a latchkey kid, always spent her time at Marcus’ parents, Harry (James Saito) and Judy Kim (Susan Park) house in San Francisco. Judy, a great cook, taught Sasha how to cook and left her with a love of food and cooking. Sasha and Marcus spent their childhood hanging out together. Marcus even formed a band, Hello Peril. One day when the two of them are out fishing, Harry comes and finds them. Judy has died.
Hai Phuong (Veronica Ngo) is a single mother bringing up her daughter, Mai (Cat Vy) in a small village in Vietnam. She earns money as a debt collector for a local businesswoman, a variation on the same job she used to do when she lived in Saigon before falling pregnant with Mai.
John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, picks up where the previous film left off. In John Wick Chapter 2 the world of the assassins inhabited by Wick was expanded. Though Wick was a legend in that murky world, he was still required to adhere to a code. He feels honour bound to break that code by a blood oath and is excommunicated by the High Table.
Even though slavery was abolished in the United States in 1865, the effects and influence of it still persisted over the next hundred years and beyond. Though slavery was abolished, many opposed the freedom of black people, some violently so, giving rise to the Ku Klux Klan, a pro-white resistance group formed in the deep South in 1866.

Less than five minutes into Deadly Detention, a Netflix teen horror flick, and I knew it was going to be eye-wateringly awful. It opens with a girl running from an unseen threat, along narrow corridors in an abandoned building. We get a title card: Three days ago. We are on a bus with five teenagers. They are being driven to Wayview prison by Pete (Kevin Blake), who has a shrine a deceased student, Jenny Duke on the dashboard. Wayview, an old, now closed, prison, is to be used for Saturday detention.
Is there a person that one is supposed to meet? Most of us have, at some time, been besotted with or liked the wrong person. That is life. Still, there is a train of thought that says we are destined to meet certain people and certain people are destined to be together.
